Will the organizers of Earth Hour purchase a carbon offset for the increase in carbon caused by thei

"In Sydney, where an estimated 2.2 million observed the blackout last year, officials said it appeared at least as popular this time, involving untold candlelight dinners and beach-bonfire parties. The city's two architectural icons, the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, faded to black."

What on Earth makes people think that candles or bonfires are somehow more efficient than modern lights and electrical plants? Is anyone taking into account that turning off your lights doesn't the electricity from flowing through all the lines?

No, the Earth worshipers are also quite hypocritical - as evidenced by Al Gore's extravagant lifestyle

Well you see the purpose was not to effectively reduce electrical consumption for that hour, the purpose was to draw attention to an issue. No one expects anyone to think that candles are more efficient....
I've never even heard of Earth Hour.
Environnazism at it's worst - demanding you change your lifestyle for the sake of preventing a yet unproven theory.

1 degree increase over the last 100 years and the libs go crazy.
Gosh, I hate environmentalists as much as liberals, although they are often one in the same. They don't know the facts and only believe what they want to. They are so hypocritical.
I know... but it was to show unification for the cause... not to actually save energy.
